Surprise it's an update!

I know, I know, where the heck have we been?

Well, for one Jacques and I have been pretty busy with our 9-5's, not a very good excuse. Second, last March I decided to take the leap and start my own business it's called Lady Leisure, I design my own bags and make my own jewelry.

Sorta last minute but we will be over at Packer Shoes in Teaneck, NJ this Saturday. Dave White will be having his first U.S. painting appearance. We will be there capturing the experience for those who won’t be able to make it.

Good News and bad news. The Good news - Jailbait was a finalist at the SXSW Web Awards under the "Animation" catagory. The bad news - we didn't bring home the title. Oh well, there's always next year.

It’s been a long time we shouldn’t have left you... I know, I know, this news section is tired. We haven’t updated since January, a little hibernation happens during the winter months. Seriously, we've been busy the past couple of months. We just wrapped a brochure for CCR, The Center for Constitutional Rights, created an identity for Madison's Bridal, and are currently working on the soundtrack cd packaging for the feature film Jailbait, a crazy love story starring Peter Dinklage. More projects to come and more updates, promise.

Yes yes y'all! Opening night for the MID-WIZ-EST show, if I may say, was a success. Great space, music, and art, made for a great event. Freshnessmag and Freshmeatinc. are very proud to have sponsored the show. We would like to thank all that came out to show their love and support for these fine artists. Ever wonder how the mid-west kids do it up hip hop style? Well we have, Freshnessmag and Freshmeatinc. are proud to sponsor this fine show. Check it, Stay Gold Gallery and Bubblegum and Braces present work from a collective of artists 'graphically exploring their interpretations of the Midwest.'

All artists have roots in the Midwest and a 'range of styles from graffitti art to experimental web based design.' Not only that, but included will be a performance by a group of Chicago based mc's and dj's. You'll have to check the show out. We'll be there doing our thing, so make sure you holla at us..

Two new updates just in time for Christmas:

1. For all you sneaker fiends: Freshness experiments with different ways in uncovering the hidden skin on those Nike McFectridge vandals. We get a little crazy with this video.

2. A new movie site for Jailbait, starring Peter Dinklage. This film mixes real life and animation handled by Jason Archer & Paul Beck (from 'Waking Life' fame). Needless to say this movie has a crazy and very original story plot.

Freshmeat is honored to donate work to Flink's new gallery space. Other contributers will include: FutureFarmers, KesselsKramer, Phunk, and KarlssonWilker. Should be a lot of crazy fun.

In the excitement of launching our site, we forgot to explain the Bling short. We originally posted the info for this show on freshnessmag, where all our video coverage is published. Unfortunately the show ends this Sunday. The video is in no way a replacement of actually going to the gallery, but we are happy to share some of the amazing work from the show.

A friend had invited us to a gallery show in Williamsburg, didn't know what to expect, but was absolutely blown away from the work of Tom Sanford and Derek Lerner. Both are exhibiting work in a show entitled, `Bling' at the 31Grand Gallery in Williamsburg. Please check this out for your own sake.
